Amazon must have fixed the error for mislabeling this unit. I purchased it knowing that it didn't have a tuner. I use Comcast HD digital cable with this unit. The HD channels are spectacular. The non-HD channels are so-so. This unit is in my bedroom. I am about 8 feet from the picture. The picture looks fine from that distance. The non-HD channels are grainy up close. The sound isn't great, but adequate for a bedroom/office/kitchen type application. I am using the DVI connection for the video and the RCA type connections for the audio. One reviewer mentioned HDMI. Don't be confused, this unit does not have an HDMI input. It isn't really necessary since DVI looks just as good. HDMI adds surround sound capability but this unit only has two speakers, so it won't make a difference. I recommend this unit if you have a small space to work with. If you have a little more room, I'd go with a slimline CRT as the non-HD pictures are much better. All in all it is a good tv.

Like the two other reviewers I expected to receive a 20" LCD with an ATSC Tuner. Sadly such a television does not exist at least not yet. The unit which shipped was the LNS 1951W with an ingegrated NTSC Tuner only. The bad news is that the NTSC Tuner with DirectTV and with over the air analog broadcasts produces a very poor picture. Fuzzy and not clear at all. I have a Sharp 13" LCD TV which produces a very clear picture through the analog tuner. So if you are limited to analog broadcasts this is definitely not the unit for you. OK, so no ATSC tuner is a big disappointment and is truly a false adverstisement. However in some circumstances you can make lemonade out of lemons with this unit. This unit has the ability to produce extremely clear television, if you can locate an external ATSC Tuner. Also it works extremely well with a DVD player with HDMI, DVI or even component video inputs.
I was able to hook up a component video and audio cable to this unit (with a run of almost 40 feet) from my DirectTV HD Tuner/Receiver (using the component video and audio out jacks on the DirectTV HD unit) and the high definition pictures are spectacular and the digital pictures are very good. The LCD TV has a DVI input connector and if you want to stay within 10 to 20 feet of a tuner you can hook up an HDMI cable from the external tuner and should get exceptional results.
So right now the only options are to return the unit and wait for a 20" LCD with a built in ATSC Tuner (probably within the next year but at about $200 more) buy a larger 26" unit with an ATSC Tuner (most 26" LCD's come with an ATSC tuner) hook this unit up to an existing ATSC Tuner (like the DirectTV HD or HD DVR units) or purchase a stand alone tuner (Samsung makes one) for about $200 and tie into that unit through an HDMI, DVI or component video cable connection.
For me, the HD picture quality of this particular unit is exceptional and perhaps as good as any in the 20" LCD's most of which are EDT rather than HD capable units. But again this unit only works well if you can hook it up to an external ATSC Tuner.

i absolutely love this TV. the picture quality is exceptional. I originally saw the tv at a tweeter store and loved it. the salesperson told me that samsung is among the best in LCD and he was right. I have this tv on top of my fridge and i sit across the room and the picture is crisp and clear. the sound is very good also. it's the perfect size tv for a kitchen, office or any other small room..even a kids bedroom.
i plan on getting another one of these. i also have a 42" samsung plasma in my home.
in my opion one of the better brands in TV.
this tv is also HD ready which is a big plus.
BTW, amazon is the best price for this TV. $100 less than any other website.
