I put this over a lightweight (not heavy or down comforter) and the two things I hated were that the buttons came off (they were sewn on very loosely from what I saw and were teeny buttons for this type of item!) and it was too lightweight- flimsy and cheap and too big for a queen size comforter, which is the size I ordered it for. I threw it out. Waste of money! I have no idea how this got any good reviews. I'm disappointed :/

I purchased this duvet cover for the $95 European goose down comforter I bought. The cover is very soft and I washed it before putting on my bed, it washed well and was wrinkle-free after on a low-heat dry cycle. I din't see any tags on the duvet stating it was 1200 tc or Egyptian cotton, but it's soft and silky anyway. You can beat the price if your on a budget but want to cover that investment of a goose down comforter. It's a button closure and the color (gray) is rich and vibrant, just like the picture. I'm happy with my choice and would buy another one in a different color. Thanks Amazon.
