The unit can take well over 12 hours to charge. More like 18-24. If you set it discharged to charge in the morning, you won't see it charged until the next morning. It is really slow.

It doesn't last very long. Simply put, the extra juice just isn't impressive.

It is heavy. This is not a super sleek lightweight addition to the iPad.

The fit and finish is terrible. The top slider part doesn't match up with the bottom and there is a large gap on both sides. The clip/clicker to hold the top part of the case is hard to get to 'click' and also hard to take the top off.

I emailed the company, and ask if there was anything they could do (I was expecting a new top part that fit better at least, but I heard nothing but crickets.)

Lastly, it operates strangely. If you have it connected to the ipad, everytime you wake up the ipad, you have to also manually 'wake up' the battery case but hitting the button on the back.. It should always be charging the pad itself keeping the discharge cycles down on the ipad battery. Mophie's ipone 4 ad ipod touch 3 products are great in this respect.

I think most people would not be happy with this product.

I would highly recommend staying away from this setup.
